To replace the equivalent of 6 storeys of opaque corrugated plastic sheeting with curtain wall glazing to the main exhibition hall.
The permanent support was provided such that it could also support the required access and material scaffolding required to implement the installation of large glazed curtain wall elements.
This was particularly challenging as no support could be taken from the existing fragile wrought iron Victorian structure below. The structure was provided such that access scaffolding could be erected for maintenance and cleaning purposes in the future.
